éclat Marketing boosts its top team as it targets burgeoning UK cyber security sector

Cyber security PR and marketing specialist éclat Marketing has appointed Robin Campbell-Burt as its new deputy managing director. Founded in 1998, éclat Marketing has developed a strong client roster helping US-based cyber security businesses grow in the UK, as well as through the Code Red Security PR Network, across the world.

Robin’s appointment reflects the continued growth of éclat, which has nearly doubled its revenue over the past five years, and which now seeks to expand its footprint by helping home-grown British cyber security scale-ups to build their brand in the UK and beyond. The UK Government recently announced that the number of British cyber security firms has increased by 44 per cent in the past two years with a total annual revenue of £8.3bn. This includes many areas of innovation with threat intelligence, monitoring, detection and analysis as well as endpoint security all featuring heavily in the sector.

Dianne Canham, managing director of éclat Marketing said:

“For years the US and Israel have been the heart of the cyber security industry and we have built a successful business helping disruptive cyber security vendors to bridge the Atlantic to the European market. However, we are now seeing a strengthening home-grown British sector and greater demand for our services. Robin will be pivotal in expanding our presence over the next period.”

Prior to joining éclat, Robin spent eight years as board director at B2B tech PR agency, Spreckley and has over 15 years’ experience in public relations and marketing. His experience includes corporate affairs and the public sector as well as successfully bringing some of the most innovative new technologies to market. His role at éclat will include new business development, client services, and overall company operations.

Speaking about his move, Robin said:

“éclat is at an exciting juncture and our ambition is to double in size over the next three years. Our global footprint means that we are ideally placed to work with the most innovative and disruptive cyber security companies to build their reputation as global market leaders– whether the company is headquartered in the US, UK or any other part of the world, we have the infrastructure to be their strategic partner for growth.

“Covid-19 has certainly added an interesting twist to the start of my role. However, the team have adapted seamlessly and while we have had some challenges in the past couple of months, we have continued to win new clients. This reflects the underlying strength of the cyber security market.”
